Booking

We're very pleased to announce that booking is now open for "America Changed Through Music": Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music at 60. You can download a booking form here (Word) or a PDF version here.

As you'll see on the booking form, the day is broken up into two parts.
  • The first part (9am-4pm) features our keynote speaker Professor Geoff Ward and a variety of compelling papers from an international assortment of speakers. You can take a look at the provisional programme here. Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful sponsors, the price for all this Harry Smith wisdom is only £15, which includes refreshments and lunch.
  • The second part of the event (4.30-6pm) features performances and discussion about the ongoing musical significance of Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music sixty years after its initial release featuring our wonderful musical guests Rapunzel and Sedayne and Ewan D. Rodgers. Thanks again to the generosity of our sponsors, this part of the day is free.
You can register for one or both parts of the day. So get booking! See you in September.

UEA London, our conference venue, is located a very short walk from Liverpool Street Station. If you require accommodation, you can download a list of local hotels here
